The FIA F1 medical delegate, Prof. Jean Charles Piette inspected the well-equipped Medical Center and all its retrievable services, including air ambulance, at Buddh International Circuit, which will host the 2011 Formula 1 Airtel Grand Prix of India on the 30th of October this year. Prof. Piette also inspected the referral center, Fortis Hospital and Apollo Hospital, with burns unit and air retrieval services readiness being approved and appreciated for being on time, as per requirements of FIA Regulations. Dr Amjad Obeid (CMO – BIC) and Dr Dina Shah (Dy. CMO – BIC) also accompanied Prof. Piette during the inspection. Last week, FIA Inspector and Formula One Race Director, Charlie Whiting visited the Buddh International Circuit for a planned routine inspection. He said the progress was more than satisfactory and exceeded expectations from when he last visited the site. He also expressed confidence that the inaugural Indian Grand Prix will be a huge success.
